Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis signifies an elusive and yet multi-layered process. It is a fundamental change that gives birth to something completely new. For metamorphosis to occur, an entity has to deconstruct and reconstruct. The process of change is something the artist often experiences and a scientist painstakingly documents. Sometimes this is simply through the act of creation or visually in an artworks representation. Art is intrinsically transformative and metamorphosis can be either momentary or permanent, each time an artwork is produced or viewed.
